What a typical heist looks like
The typical heist takes place over four stages. Reconnaissance (1-3 hours): studying the target, mapping camera coverage and guard patrol routes. Preparation (1-2 hours): acquiring gear, vehicles, safehouses. Execution (30-90 minutes): carrying out the robbery and dealing with the inevitable police response. Escape and cashing out (30-60 minutes): fleeing with the goods and laundering stolen valuables into clean money. The full cycle usually takes one or two nights.
Crew composition for a successful heist
Heists generally require between 4 and 6 people. A hacker for cameras and security systems, two breachers for entry points, a driver for the getaway vehicle, a lookout for police radio. Larger heists (bank vault jobs, casino heists) can require 8-12 crew members filling specialised roles and working together. Attempting large heists with too few people will generally result in failed executions and loss of equipment.

What happens if a heist fails?
Players lose their staked gear, get arrested and sentenced accordingly, and the target typically goes on cooldown (24-72 hours). Failure can make for some of the best RP too - the debrief after a heist gone wrong and doing jail time can be more fun than having it go perfectly.
