How crew structure usually works
Most gang RP servers enforce a cap on crew sizes of 8-20 active members and require an internal hierarchy (boss, underboss, lieutenants, soldiers, associates). Crews must apply to be officially recognised by the server, which unlocks shared safehouses, gang stash, and territory claims. Crews that let anyone join them usually don't last long.
Surviving as a new gang RP player
Don't try to make your own crew on your first day. Become an associate of an established crew, prove you can RP and obey orders, and work your way up. Crews have territory, contacts, and political alliances that a lone wolf has no access to. You'll find the quickest way to wash out is trying to act like some big boss in your first week.

Definitely. Every gang RP server needs civilians, business owners, EMS, and residents. Civilian characters tend to be overlooked by newer players, but they are essential to the overall RP health of the server.
