The GTA 6 modded server list ships a lot more custom content than vanilla GTA 6: vehicles, MLOs (interiors), weapons, overhauled handling configs, and sometimes entire map zones. Most modded servers use the FiveM framework to allow client-side asset injection, while the newcomer SixM framework is picking up servers built from the ground up with GTA 6 in mind. The end result? Gameplay you'll never find on a stock server.
Lightly modded servers typically offer 20-50 cars along with some additional MLOs (~200-500 MB pack). Heavily modded servers come with 5-15 GB packs which include hundreds of cars, custom zones/maps, and combat reworks. Hardware requirements for heavy modded servers
Heavily modded servers demand VRAM of 10-12GB for smooth stutter-free gameplay, as well as 30-50GB of free storage space (SSD strongly recommended). CPU specs do not deviate far from vanilla. If you have a budget GPU, keep to lightly modded servers for a much smoother experience.
How asset packs download (and why CDN matters)
Good modded servers will have a CDN (Cloudflare R2, BunnyCDN) so your first connect will take less than 5 minutes with a 100 Mbps internet connection. Non-CDN servers may take upwards of 20 minutes, so read the server's setup guide before investing time.

What counts as a modded GTA 6 server?
Custom cars, MLOs (interiors), weapons, rebuilt handling configs, or entire map additions. Modded servers generally have more assets than vanilla and will prompt you to download asset packs upon connecting for the first time.
Can I play modded GTA 6 servers on console?
No - modded servers are only available on PC. PS5 and Xbox do not permit injection of client-side assets. You can only join vanilla Rockstar lobbies as a console player.

Will modded server assets affect my single-player save?
No. Modded server assets are sandboxed to the server session - they cache temporarily, then unload when you disconnect. Your single-player save and vanilla files remain unaffected.
