FiveM Server List
The GTA 6 FiveM server list covers every community built on the FiveM modding framework - custom scripts, persistent characters, ESX and QBCore stacks. Browse the deepest section of the GTA 6 server scene, ported from a decade of GTA 5 modding tradition.
The GTA 6 FiveM server list carries over the modding framework that built the GTA 5 multiplayer scene. Custom scripts, persistent characters, server-side database hooks, and the deep roleplay toolchain that defined Vice City RP, NoPixel, and a decade of community servers. Most established GTA 5 communities are now porting their FiveM stack to GTA 6 - same scripts, new map.
The FiveM ecosystem is the largest server framework in the GTA scene. ESX and QBCore - the two dominant resource bundles - power most jobs, inventories, and economies you'll see in economy servers and gang RP servers. The newer SixM framework is built ground-up for GTA 6, while modded servers use FiveM for client-side asset injection. If you've played a serious GTA RP city in the last five years, you've played on FiveM.

What FiveM brings to a GTA 6 server
Server-side scripting (Lua, JavaScript, C#), client asset injection (custom vehicles, MLOs, weapons), persistent player data through MySQL or MariaDB, OneSync for higher player counts, and hot-reloadable resources for live development. All of that combined is why roleplay servers running FiveM can sustain economies, jobs, and law enforcement systems that vanilla GTA can't touch.
ESX vs QBCore - which framework powers a server
ESX is older and lighter - simpler job framework, looser standards, more legacy resources. QBCore is the newer, more opinionated stack with a cleaner database schema and tighter conventions. Most servers built in 2022 onward run QBCore, while older established cities still run ESX out of inertia. Both work; QBCore is easier to develop against if you're starting a new server today.
FiveM FAQ
What is a FiveM server?
A multiplayer server built on the FiveM modding framework - server-side scripting, persistent data, client asset injection, and the toolchain behind most serious roleplay servers in the GTA scene.
Will FiveM work on GTA 6?
The FiveM team and community are actively porting the framework to GTA 6. Most established FiveM servers will migrate their scripts and asset packs across rather than start from scratch - the underlying CitizenFX runtime is being retargeted, not rewritten.
Do I need to install FiveM separately?
Yes. FiveM is a separate client launched alongside your legitimate GTA install. The client handles asset downloads, version matching, and the server connection. Console players cannot join FiveM servers - PC only.
Is FiveM legal?
Yes. FiveM has a long-standing relationship with the GTA scene and runs on legally-owned copies of GTA. The framework injects client-side assets in a sandboxed way that doesn't modify your single-player files. Public connection requires owning the base game.
Can I host my own FiveM server?
Yes. The server software is free and well-documented. Small private servers run fine on a 4 GB VPS for around 10 USD per month. Public servers with serious player counts need dedicated hardware and active development time.
