The GTA 6 hardcore server list is a compilation of the most demanding roleplay communities - permadeath, realistic rulesets, and branching storylines that have actual consequences. We only list servers that have been checked to ensure they have active staff, mature players, and enforcement of the rules required for hardcore RP.

The GTA 6 hardcore server list amps up the stakes. Permadeath, ultra-realism, severe IC consequences, and no OOC ways to escape tough situations. Die on a hardcore server and that character is permanently dead. You spend a few days writing a new character's backstory, apply to get back into the server, and start all over from zero. Most hardcore communities are also whitelist servers, with even longer applications.
These servers aren't beginner-friendly. Most hardcore servers will ask for 6-12 months of prior RP experience and have an extensive multi-stage application. They're looking for players who already understand pacing, consent in RP scenes, and how to handle a rough arc without going OOC. If you're new or less experienced, get your feet wet on a whitelist roleplay server first. You can even try out casual servers if you want to practise with lower stakes.

What permadeath actually means in practice
Strict permadeath means once a character dies, that death is permanent - no exceptions. Soft permadeath refers to having some sort of 'CK' (character kill) approval process, where either another player or an admin must approve your death as permanent after your character has had a significant story arc. A conditional permadeath only occurs after certain milestones have been met. Please read each server's CK rules prior to applying, as they shape the entire roleplay culture of the server.
Why hardcore burns out players (and how to avoid it)
What makes hardcore RP exciting also exhausts you. Play like every session is the season finale and you'll burn out within months. Seasoned RPers pace themselves - long stretches of low-key, mundane RP, broken up by one or two large arcs a year. Approach your character as if you're running a marathon, not a sprint.
